Program Details
Medical imaging is a field which deals with technology and engineering process of looking into the internal anatomy of a living body for the purpose of clinical reporting and medical intervention. It includes methods for visual representation of the structure and function of organs or tissues based on their interaction with different form of energy. Deep learning is the subfield of machine learning which employs neural networks for representation learning. The adjective deep is used to refer to the use of multiple layers in the neural network. This summer school brings together creative and innovative minds for collaborative brainstorming on the latest technological advancements in medical imaging using deep learning. It also provides enlightening talks and hands-on sessions by experts from academic institutions and industry.
Our motto is to adopt, adapt, improve, inspire, and learn from each other. We share ideas openly with trust and empower each individual to impact our community positively.
This year in 2025, we would be hosting lecture sessions, hands on laboratory and coding sessions, and a grand challenge with poster presentation. The speakers include Faculty Members from various Medical Imaging Technology Industry and IITs with excellence in the domain from related areas.

Deep Learning and Medical Imaging Summer School (DLMI SS 2025) is open for individual registration under the following fee categories only. Registration form link is provided in the clickable button above. It opens another site on ERP of IIT Kharagpur. Search for the Programme ID:IIT/CEP/STC/SS/2024-2025/EE/132. See details on the ERP on How to Apply and How to Pay before proceeding.
IMPORTANT: In the first stage you would pay the application fee which parks your application for the Coordinator's approval. On approval of the Coordinator, you need to pay the Registration Fee and complete the process to be eligible to attend the event. GST is included in the rates at 18%.

Do you provide a certificate?
(Answer) Yes, all attendees to DLMI SS 2025 would be awarded a certificate of participation issued by Continuing Education Program (CEP), Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. This certificate is valued at 3 Countinuing Education Units (CEU) following Institute norms.
Are any subsidized price registrations are available?
(Answer) The rates provided follow all applicable subsidies.
Is there a final test?
(Answer) No
What are the lab sessions based on?
(Answer) You should bring in your Laptops along and have the toolsets installed on them for working out.
What is included in the registration package?
(Answer) Registration package includes applicable and associated couse material, breakfast, refreshments and lunch served on venue, access to all technical sessions, hands-on lab sessions.
Does the registration package include accommodation?
(Answer) Attendees seeking an on-campus guest house and hostel accommodation in shared rooms at an extra charge can select the option on the form which will be sent after registration. Please note that the check-in and check-out date and time are strictly binding for these accommodations. Charges as applicable are to be paid directly at the Guest House or Hostel.
Do you provide TA/DA to attendees?
(Answer) Organizers of this program are currently not able to extend any support of TA/DA to attendees.
